the Christmas is a religious holy event
NOT A SHOW

i say this because i attended a christmas carol event and i'm upset
TOTALLY
lot of people deal with Christmas as it's new year or something
an event to have fun, dance, eat and drink
this is not Christmas
!!!!!
ok, I'm an old fashion girl (honestly antique not old)
but having fun isn't the Christmas purpose
dancing carols isn't the way to appreciate the savior's birth

Vacation in ELGOUNA

finally i had a good vacation
it's been 2 years since i went in a good vacation
anyway
it started with the bag preparation
i noticed myself preparing the tech devices before the cloths

for 4 days vacation, i took:
1- mobile 2- mobile charger
3- camera 4- batteries
5- batteries charger
6- USB in case the camera memory is full
7- extra SD card for the camera
8- MP3 for the road

couple of years ago i would only take the mobile and charger and classic camera with some batteries

we went to the bus station 1hr early
and it was a chance to witness this
a mechanic was fixing the bus, and he failed so he asked the guys in the bus station to "yez2o elautobus"

LOL

yes, the people za2o elautobus and finally the engine started to work

after 30m delay the bus moved

about 9 hours in the bus, but it was at night so we were sleeping

it was an easy trip

Finally i was in ELGOUNA

wow

the first thing i noticed and the important thing in the same time in ELGOUNA is it's architecture

then after walking arround all the village, i admired the SYSTEM

it's full services village: post office, bankssss, hospital, 2 schools, AUC, bus to every part in elgouna every 10m, bus to hurghada every 20m

my sister lives in a simple studio and she told me that every rented residence unit in elgouna has internal phone line, AC, satelite, TV, electric machines

it's a city very well planned and managed

but because of this it's most expensive city, i guess

my sister and i walked by the marine area

i don't think the pictures will be enough to express the beauty of this spot

sea view .. refreshing air

we went to a cafe to sit, we were sitting almost on water

and had this view

some birds were flying around us, all the scene was like a romantic movie

until suddenly a family of business men and women came to sit in the next table
we heard what they were discussing
one of them was complaining that he didn't use the boat even once since he bought it
and "this is not nice"
they were discussing business in the vacation men and women were talking about money
they were talking big numbers
and we were shocked .. by the subject and the numbers

my sister told me: do u think that those people aware of azmet tabor el3ish?
and i said: i don't think they eat 3ish assassan

that was my first meeting with elgouna people
first group is the Egyptian millionaires
second group is the tourists, and in elgouna they are Russians or Germans

i met the second group in the hotel
in the hotel, in dinner time when i stepped in the restaurant; the Egyptian employee standing at the door said: yes! how can i help you (in a tone)
tone means: what are you doing here? you are not belong here?
i said "full of confidence": room 202
he: sorry?
me: room 2 0 2
and then he let me in
funny! i was the only Egyptian guest in an Egyptian hotel on Egyptian soil
but later on other Egyptian families checked in to spend the holidays
people in the restaurant knew me well
hey I'm room 202
the only guest who can speaks arabic
and later on they were actually smiling and chit chating with me
LOL

my room was pool view so i get the chance to observe the tourists behavior in the pool
they weren't swimming at all
they were just laying in the sun
the temperature was LOW, it was very cold .. i'm wearing pull-over and a sweater and they were laying naked enjoying the sun heat
WHAT HEAT?????????
one day i asked the pool man: is this swimming pool heated?
he: of course
me; can u please tell me what is the temperature of the water now?
he: about 20 c
me: sorry?
he: 20 c
me; didn't u say the pool is heated?
he: yes
me: so after being heated the water temperature is 20 c?
he: yes
me: thank you
and then i went to another pool and had the same conversation
but then i was lucky because the other pool was 23 c

while my sister and i were bentaktek, the tourists were eating ICE cream and drinking cold coca
LOL
i guess their body temperature system is totally different from ours

so i don't consider it bad luck, but mischoice of time ..

to go to elgouna in cold winter and in fasting time when i couldn't benefit the OPEN BUFFET walima

spending the days in elgouna without swimming is boring geddan

that's why we went to hurghada daily to do stuff, and eating tab3an

in hurghada, the fish restaurants are very good, the food is fantastic although the redsea fishs aren't as good the mediterranean

they receive the guests with a present : fisherman cap

every fish restaurant give away caps to the guests >>> beylabsso elzaboun el3ema

on the opposite in elgouna; in some restaurants we saw some egyptian celebrities and they were served properly

but we were like ghosts, waiters some time forget about our orders totally

all hotels in elgouna were preparing for the christmas event

this pic i took in sheraton hotel: this church is made of sweets, sugar colored coconut

and this house is almost 2meters high, is made of biscuts and chocolate biscuts and it smells good

it's weird to say house smells good but it does

one day we thougt: hey let us have breakfast out

and of course it was a big mistake

the only suitable breakfast we found is this: honey, jam, bread, coffee >>> 18LE

ok, this means cup of coffee for 18 LE because no one can eat honey and jam only
sure you'll need to eat more

as usual some funny things happened to me as it does all the time
despite the late bus and the suddenly cold weather
- my sleepers were "etfarfat" in the first day and i had to buy another
that's exactly what happened .... LOL
- in my room, when i turned on the AC "shat"
i smelled the burning smell so i turned on, later when i called the front desk reporting
the man said: eltakyeef wala3!!!!!!
i said: no no, i just smell shyat
- the TV cable in my room was unplug i guess, i had those channels: 1 ,2 eltelevision elmasry elra2ed, mbc2, TV5 frensh channel, cnn cartoon and 10 german channels which i couldn't understand a word
- in the last night 4 me in elgouna, people said: we 'll have DJ party in the marine area ... the party was cancelled

finally, if i got the choice and the chance to go there again i'll certainly do
but in summer and not in fasting period
this city is the perfect place for people to relax and enjoy living
the stars are clear in the sky because it's not poluted
people are walking, swimming, eating, dancing, simply just living

Averge computer user is always afraid of changing the SW he used to work with to a new one, this may take him a while till he gets to know it better and master it
SO,
basically new versions of any SW are always for geek high tech users only which are not that many
and obvious example for it is Office
i know peolpe still having problems using version 2003 and think it's no use to upgrade to 2003 when 2000 is OK
now there's a WHOLE new version 2007, consists on the web 2.0 (let us say Spirit .. )
color themes, tabs instead of menus, shadows effects, etc..
but averge users who try it, aren't satisfied because it's not the same interface as the old versions (once a friend told me: i can't find anything .. i'm totally lost in this version)

BUT how genius Bill Gates solved this problem
