google, what's next?

once a speaker in a seminar i attended said: later on; governments and country borders will gone and they will be only GOOGLE

tedata theft

a friend sent me this link, it's a photography competition held by TEData
coool, right?
Absolutely NOT
when i checked the competition rules, i found out some "pleasant" ones:
يحق لشركة "نهضة مصر للصحافة والإعلام" استخدام الصور بأى شكل كان بعد تلقيها من المتسابقين دون أن يكون عليها أى التزامات.. ولن يتم إعادة الصور إلى المشاركين بعد انتهاء المسابقة.

يحق لشركة "نهضة مصر للصحافة والإعلام" تعديل أى شرط من شروط المسابقة بدون إبداء أية أسباب وفى أى وقت تراه .

this is Unethical, it means i take a picture send it to a competition, probably don't win a thing and then they 'll use my picture without the need of my permission in any and every medium they want !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there's an invention in the world these days called "حقوق الملكية الفكرية / copyright"
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
this organization is a governmental one, they should be the one to obey the law not to break it.

what if someone, took my picture put his name or watermark on it and sell it online or offline, how they will prevent that from happening
selling your picture online is very profitable if you have the quality pictures, check the list

We have to stop apply for similar Unfair terms, don't participate, unless they change the rules and keep your copyright over your product
The thing is it's a common behavior for governmental organizations like the water, electricity and gas providers, they always make you sign unfair contract "عقود اذعان"
they put the rules, you have to accept because there are no other providers
BUT online photography contest tooo? HELL NO
there are other thousands alternatives
want to be known, win prizes and have unlimited exposure upload your pictures to flickr or similar sites, participate in honorable competitions.
